8 MP OmniVision camera in mobile

The rumor mill is churning up new speculations of the next-gen iPhone camera. The upcoming iDevice could very well end up with an OmniVision camera, instead of the previously rumored Sony snapper. Also an LTE-enabled iPhone is unlikely to hit the market in 2011 due to low interest and the slow growth of the LTE networks.
According to the DigiTimes sources the next-gen iPhone will begin its production in August and go on sale as early as September. The device will supposedly be dubbed iPhone 4S, which if true might be one of the most unfortunate namings we have ever seen (just say it out loud and you will see what we mean). Also we got word that Qualcomm will be the manufacturer of the 3G and CDMA radios of the smartphone.
The camera of the iPhone 4S has been a target of discussion before, when we thought Sony will be the 1 to manufacture it, supplying their Exmor R backside illuminated sensors to Apple. However latest gossip points at OmniVision sticking around for another round. It's rumored that OmniVision will supply the image sensors, while Largan Precision the lens kits.
This leaves us guessing about the sensor resolution. Smart money are still on an 8 MP unit but OmniVision has just announced their new generation 5 MP sensor, the OV5690, which has the ability to shoot 1080p video at 30 fps or 720p video at 60 fps. The new sensor will be 20% slimmer side, which might help it find its place and knowing Apple's love for slim devices might end up in their next smartphone.
It's less than a month now until the WWDC (it's starting 6 June), where the iPhone 4S should be unveiled.

2GHz Dual Core Smartphone

Samsung Electronics, South Korea's largest electronics manufacturer, will be releasing a smartphone that boasts performance levels matching desktop PCs. This phone will feature a two gigahertz (Ghz) dual core CPU (core processing unit), which will give it data processing capacities of 4Ghz. Samsung is also considering selling the CPU units separately.
 
Isn't smartphone evolution just wonderful? We've only just arrived at the dual-core stages of the mobile evolution and we are just about to witness another huge leap forward. Samsung has just revealed what their plans for the future hold and there's plenty to get excited about.

A high-ranking Samsung official, who has unfortunately remained unnamed, went on record saying that his company is planning to release a 2GHz dual core CPU-equipped smartphone by next year.
Said official then mentioned that it would have been easier for the company to manufacture a 4GHz single-core CPU than a dual-core one of half the frequency, but given the battery life limitations they found multi-core CPUs to be the better option.
Samsung is also considering selling those CPUs to other manufacturers under their own Exynos-brand. Considering the performance of that first Exynos chip there might just be quite a lot of interest. Whether it'll be worth threatening the sales of their own smartphones is a whole other story of course, but it will be told another day.

One thing's for sure - these are some exciting times for smartphone lovers to live in. A dual core CPU features two CPU units packed into one component, which allows twice the processing speed. It is easier to manufacture a single 4Ghz CPU unit instead of a dual core 2Ghz CPU unit, but Samsung is opting for the dual core as it is better optimized for smartphone products. Dual core facilitates multitasking using smartphones by allotting the workload on two separate cores. A smartphone equipped with 2Ghz dual core CPUs will match the performance level of desktop PCs. Most PCs used these days have 3~4 Ghz CPUs. Samsung is also said to be considering separate sales of the CPU units for other smart phone makers. Samsung has been mainly manufacturing mobile CPU for its own product lines, but is planning to expand into mobile processor sales under its new brand.

Now, Nokia reconfirmed their commitment to Symbian in the short-term, but that doesn’t mean much. If the platform is to be scrapped, users will learn it the hard way when regular updates stop coming in. Occasional bug-fixes is the best they can hope to get. And good software support is among of the main reasons why people still choose Nokia.
However, how much short-term can stretch depends on the success of the current Symbian^3 devices. So if the Nokia E7 does at least as well on the market as the N8, it might as well buy the platform a few extra years.
Nokia E7 is basically a larger N8, trading the camera bulk for a a larger and better display and a full QWERTY keyboard. To be honest though, when we reviewed the N8 it was mostly the camera we were delighted with. Then, that was five months ago and the bar is set higher now.
The Nokia E7 certainly won’t have an easy ride throughout this review. Let’s see how it handles the pressure.

Vodafone offers Galaxy Tab 10.1 exclusively in the UK

Vodafone UK have posted on their official Twitter account news of an upcoming launch for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in their network. This means that for now they will be the only operator to offer it in the UK.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 made its first steps in the mobile world just two days ago and we already have news for upcoming availability. Seems Samsung will push this bad boy strong into the tablet war.
Vodafone's Twitter stream promises "more info soon!", so we'll have to wait.

CTL TWH notebook packs a 15.6-inch screen, up to 8 GB of RAM, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity like on Samsung 2233SW 21.5-Inch Monitor. There is no comprehensive list of the hardware details at the moment.

Some of people never try LG Chocolate Touch VX-8575 Phone. This happen because they never knew what is best features in the phone.
Only the owner of the phone know the truth of LG Chocolate Touch VX-8575. I’m very hard to please, and I also have owned two other LG music phones but didn’t liked either of them. This phone is unique: it’s the best phone I’ve ever owned.
It has every feature I need in a phone, in a beautiful package that is very user-friendly.
Simple to use to master and simple to operate. The touch screen is logical and is easy to navigate without ever looking at the manual. I simply wish I bought it thru Amazon and not VZW website. I’d have saved $$$. One drawback: This doesn’t appear to be compatible with my Mac. I cannot download songs from my iTunes to the phone. But I’ve my iPod for music, and really didn’t need the phone to play music.

Huawei Ideos S7 Android Tablet and Ideos X3 Smartphone Leaked

Huawei, the company which launched the cheapest Android phone – the Huawei Ideos – in 2010 has been trying to make its presence felt on the Android scene.
So far, it has been completely overshadowed by the likes of HTC, Samsung and Motorola. Even the announcements of the Huawei Ideos X5 and the Ideos X6 failed to make any major impact.
Now, images of an Android tablet and a new Android smartphone by Huawei have been leaked on its official Flickr account, just a week before MWC.
The Huawei Ideos S7 Slim is an Android tablet which has a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display. From the images, it seems to have a front facing camera and keys for Home, Menu and Back. We don’t have any other details yet. We can expect it to run Android 2.2 Froyo at launch, with a Android 3.0 Honeycomb upgrade coming later. It will likely be priced much lower than the current crop of Android tablets.

The other leaked device is the Huawei Ideos X3 Android smartphone. It will be a budget phone and will likely have a 3.2 – 3.5 inch display. Both these devices will be launched at the Mobile World Congress in a week.
